Digital Learning Webinars – Week Commencing 27/04/20

We will be continuing our schedule of digital learning webinars this week with a number of sessions designed to support and enhance teaching and learning online. Please see below the full schedule and details for joining. Recordings of all previous webinars can be found on this Microsoft Stream channel.

To access any of the live sessions you will be using Microsoft Teams, and therefore please ensure you access the relevant link at the start time of each event. For best results, please do not logon via the VDI and ensure you are using a supported browser

Tuesday 13:00-14:00 Using Microsoft Forms for Education

Microsoft Forms allows you to assess your learners and collect feedback in a variety of ways. Come along to this session to find out how you can:


  • Create surveys, quizzes, and polls, and easily see results as they come in.

  • Share quizzes with your students using any web browser, even on mobile devices.

  • Create formative assessments using branching.

  • Use built-in analytics to evaluate your students' quiz results.

  • Create assessments as a team by sharing a quiz draft with other teachers.

  • Export data, such as quiz results, to Excel for additional analysis or grading.

Wednesday 13:00-14:00 Canvas Cloud Assignments Canvas Cloud Assignments allow you to create assignments directly from Microsoft OneDrive files and provides learners with a standardised template to complete in Canvas. Canvas cloud assignments allow learners to edit their own copy the assignment you set and is a useful tool for both formative and summative assessments. This session will show you how to create cloud assignments in Canvas and how learners are able to complete and submit back to you for feedback.
